So I am redoing my bedroom but trying to do it on a budget. It is a huge room 24'x24' with 4 windows. Unfortunately it takes a bit of an investment to change even my curtains. Luckily I found some woven, lined, curtains in my color pallete at Walmart for only $15 each, so it only cost me about $120 for curtains.
I am slowly moving towards a more finished modern country style in my house. I have a hard time making a decision especially on what to put on my walls. I am going to do a green and grey color scheme, utilizing my current paint color which is like the lightest green color in my mood boards below:

My design inspiration came from a vintage tablecloth I found at one of my local flea markets. I will try to take a pic of it sometime this week and put it on here. Anyway, can't decide where to use that tablecloth...be it cut up for pillows, mounted as art on the wall, or just on a table. It remains to be seen.
This room remake has inspired me to do a quilt so I can have just what I am imagining in my mind...or atleast as close as I can get it. I am going to do a a 120"x120" sized quilt for my king size bed. The background will be various grey fabrics...I am going shopping tomorrow for them...in 10" squares. Various sized green squared will be appliqued onto each background square. While reading up on modern quilting I came across a post by at http://r0ssie.blogspot.com/2010/05/process-pledge.html It is really about sharing our quilting processes, no matter how rudimentary it might be. So, I am taking the pledge. In the next bedroom post, I will hopefully be putting up my planning process, example of my quilt inspirations, and my fabrics. So, wish me luck!
